Hello! I’m Rachel, I am a chef turned writer and recipe developer. I also enjoy photographing my food.
Raised in Mumbai, India, I spent my early life earning a master’s degree in Broadcasting & Journalism. Then, I travelled to the United States to earn a degree at the Culinary Institute of America. After graduating in 2015, I moved to New York City where I worked as a cook in restaurants and catering kitchens.
Then transitioned to food media, and now work at Bon Appétit as an associate food editor. On this site you will find recipes, food stories and my creative work. When I am not in the kitchen, Im busy strolling through markets exploring street food and ingredients in different neighborhoods!
