Hello! I’m Rachel, I am a chef turned writer and recipe developer. I also enjoy photographing my food.

Raised in Mumbai, India, I spent my early life earning a master’s degree in Broadcasting & Journalism. Then, I travelled to the United States to earn a degree at the Culinary Institute of America. After graduating in 2015, I moved to New York City where I worked as a cook in restaurants and catering kitchens.

Then transitioned to food media, and now work at Bon App├ętit as an associate food editor. On this site you will find recipes, food stories and my creative work. When I am not in the kitchen, Im busy strolling through markets exploring street food and ingredients in different neighborhoods!
