Coconut Lime Margarita with Mint
Margarita with a twist of coconut puree, lime and tequila with fresh mint garnish makes for a refreshing and delicious tropical inspired drink.
- 1 lime zested
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 2 ounces tequila
- 1 1/2 ounces coconut puree or cream
- 3/4 ounce triple sec
- 1/2 ounce lime juice
- Mint sprigs for garnish
- Lime wedges for garnish
On a plate mix lime zest and salt together until well incorporated.
Rub lime wedge around rim of cocktial glass. Spread lime salt on a plate and rub rim in seasoning.
In an ice-filled cocktail shaker, add tequila, coconut puree, lime juice and triple sec
Close the shaker and shake vigorously until well chilled, 2 minutes. Double strain the cocktail into a cocktail glass filled with ice. Garnish with mint sprigs, lime wedges and serve immediately.
